This traditional floor standing base holding a 50cm diameter globe. This base differs from the others with the style of the hand turned wooden legs.
Featured in this listing is a Regency Blue globe and the base is Cherry. Each and every globe is made bespoke to order.
There is an option of either a gloss or matte finish on the globe and the base can also be in Oak or Walnut with a variety of stains.
This style base was inspired by our “Short Leg” 80cm diameter Galileo due to many requests for a 50cm diameter version. Referred to now as ‘Straight Leg” – this can also be made for the 65cm diameter sized globes.
The globe has a truly timeless appeal, and is supported on a wooden base, featuring hand-crafted horizon rings, and an aged brass meridian and intricate attention to detail.
