The Classic Britannia was the first base we ever made. Before we made desktop globes – we just made the 50cm diameter sizing to start and an early variation of this base.
This variation is the colouring Blue Cassini – a bright and vibrant blue ocean paired with a colourful land shaded by country (ties in to legend detail relating to population).
The base is Oak with a medium finish – options of Walnut and Sapele as well with various stains and finishes.
The globe has a matte finish with option of gloss. Commission includes a hand engraved commissioning mark on the brass meridian that encircles the globe.
The globe can be moved full within the brass meridian and can be spun from any angle.
Each commission includes 20 text based edits with endless options of further text based edits, travel routes and hand drawn and hand painted illustrations to be added to the globe. We will work with you through a mocking up and approval process on the map ahead of making your globe!
