Our Moon Globe is available as a 12cm Pocket Globe, a 22cm Mini Desk Globe, or a larger 36cm Desktop Globe – there is a choice of colouring, bases, and options for added personalisation.
Using the latest data collected by the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter camera, our Lunar globe presents the moon in exquisite detail. Major features such as seas, mountain ranges and bays are labelled alongside over 600 individual craters (over 700 on the 36cm). Locations of all current known landing sites are marked with a key indicating the space program they belong to.
Colour suggestions for how the shading is painted :
I- Sand and Steel – Light shades of yellow ochre and cerulean blue, this is a classic colour choice.
II- Dust and Zinc – Though more colourful, this variety is still quite soft and subtle featuring layered shades of dusty pink, pale ochres, and teal.
III- Rust and Steel – Light shades of yellow ochre, orange, and cerulean blue. This colouring is bold and full of contrasting colours.
IV- Greyscale – This variant has very little colour aside from shades of grey.
V – Blood Moon – These rich shades of yellow, orange, and red make for a dramatic and haunting depiction of the Moon’s surface.
