Place Bellecour is a large square in the centre of Lyon, France… it is one of the largest open square (i.e. without any patches of greenery or trees) in Europe, and the third biggest square in France. It is also the largest pedestrian square in Europe.
The square is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site…. and most importantly there is a beautiful world map and spinning globe projection on the sides of the huge ferris wheel there (along with some other lovely images)……
